The latest and advanced technology machines have been installed at Helvetia with a high resonance imaging factor so as to provide a sharper and a denser image than the analog version. Under X – Ray modality, Helvetia also conducts the following specialised tests ;

• HSG ( Hysterosalpingography ) – Radiographic contrast (dye) is injected into the uterine cavity through the vagina and cervix. It looks at the inside of the uterus and fallopian tubes and the area around them. It is often done in women who are infertile and having difficulty in getting pregnant.

• IVP  ( Intravenous Pyelogram )  is an X-ray test that provides images of the kidneys, the urinery bladder, the ureters and the urethra (urinary tract ). An IVP can show the size, shape, and position of the urinary tract, and it can evaluate the collecting system inside the kidneys.

• Barium Studies in Modern Radiology – It is study for the gastrointestinal tract. It is generally used to highlight abnormalities in GI tract- to determine the cause of painful swallowing, abdominal pain, bloodstained vomit or unexplained weight loss. The barium study continues to be performed as a safe, cost-effective diagnostic test for patients with a gamut of gastrointestinal conditions.
