Digital X-Ray

Digital X-Ray

The latest and advanced technology machines have been installed at Helvetia with a high resonance imaging factor so as to provide a sharper and a denser image than the analog version. Computed radiography ( CR ) is a digital replacement of conventional x-ray film radiography and offers enormous advantages for medical inspections/ diagnostics – the use of consumables is virtually eliminated  and time to produce image is drastically shortened which contributes in keeping quality compliances in place and waiting time to minimum with more accuracy of reporting. Advantages are –

1. Precision of findings through the use of technology.

2. Minimum waiting hours for patients.

3. Reduction in exposure and processing time.

4. Software based evaluation and reporting .

Under X – Ray modality, we also conduct following specialised tests ;

• HSG ( Hysterosalpingography ) – Radiography contrast (dye) is injected into the uterine cavity through the vagina and cervix. It passes through the inside of the uterus and fallopian tubes and the area around them and an X-ray is shot to see any obstruction. It is often done in women who are infertile and having difficulty in getting pregnant.

• IVP  ( Intravenous Pyelogram )  is an X-ray test that provides images of the kidneys, the urinary bladder, the ureters and the urethra (urinary tract ). An IVP can show the size, shape, and position of the urinary tract, and it can evaluate the collecting system inside the kidneys.

• Barium Studies – It is study for the gastrointestinal  tract. It is generally used to highlight abnormalities in GI tract- to determine the cause of painful swallowing, abdominal pain, bloodstained vomit or unexplained weight loss. The barium study continues to be performed as a safe, cost-effective diagnostic test for patients with a gamut of gastrointestinal conditions.
